Our people are our region.
Their personal stories are woven into the fabric of Barossa, shaping it into the rich and diverse community it is today.
Wherever you look in Barossa there is another story waiting to be told. Here are just a few.
Living and Breathing the Barossa Dream
Many times the stories of iconic Barossa characters begin with their active and adventurous childhoods, growing up among the vines that will one day become their own. Perhaps enough attention is not given to those who discover Barossa and whole heartedly embrace the local culture, finding their happy place in the world. Trevor Harch, owner of Brockenchack Wines, first had a sip of Barossa in the mid 1980s, instantly falling in love. Not long after, he escaped the hustle and bustle of his construction company in the Sunshine Coast, visiting Barossa on a wine tasting trip. The rest as they say, is history.
