Barossa Museum

Housed in the Old Telegraph Station at the south end of Tanunda’s main street, The Barossa Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives, culture and discoveries of the early Prussian arrivals to the Barossa Region.

The collection contains many rare items, stories and photographs that have been beautifully preserved and arranged. Children and school groups are very welcome.

In May 2024, the Barossa Museum will host the Barossa HIstory Fair and the first of a series of rotating community exhibitions. The exhibition is titled “The Accidental Dress Colllector” and will run until June 2024.

The museum is open to the public Mondays and Fridays between 12pm and 4pm, and private tours can be arranged by appointment. Schools and groups are welcome by appointment. We can also arrange private tours.

Come and discover stories of the Barossa’s past.
